What a Weekend to Remember! This past weekend will go down as one of the most special and memorable ones for us. 🌟 My wife Karen, my incredible Mum Jean, our great friend Paul, and I ventured from Ramsgate to Battersea to visit my son Jack at his pub, The Anchor. We were so lucky to spend two amazing days together, filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. Biggest thanks go to Jack and Zoe—not just for opening their doors but also for their generosity and kindness throughout the weekend. And of course, a shout-out to The Anchor’s fantastic bar staff, who made sure every detail was perfect. You guys are simply the best! One of the highlights of the weekend was Robert and his incredible EvareadyBBQ setup outside The Anchor. His Caribbean food was simply unbeatable—jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried plantain, and a unique delight I’d never tried before called “Festival.” Every bite was a burst of flavor, and his passion for what he does truly shone through. If you haven’t tried his food, it’s an absolute must! We’ve brought home so many cherished memories and a camera roll full of photos that I can’t wait to share. ❤️ This weekend reminded me of how important family, friends, and community are. 🍺 A Memorable Pub Crawl Adventure with Friends! Yesterday, Karen and I, caught the 9:53am train from Ramsgate to meet up with friends for a fun-filled day. 🚆 We embarked on a pub crawl, hopping on and off the train at various stops. Our first stop was Sittingbourne, where we visited The Red Lion. Next, we headed to Bunters a short walk away, then back on the train to The White Horse in Rainham, for a few more drinks. 🦁 Our journey continued to Chatham, where we visited The White Lion for a beer and a shot, then on to the Prince of Wales, a 5 minute walk up the road. 🦁 🥘 We wrapped up our pub crawl in Chatham at a stylish, modern all-you-can-eat restaurant with Pan-Asian cooking stations and a global banquet. The food was delicious and At just £21.00 each (eat all you like), we will be returning. Feeling quite full, we walked back to the station and took the train back to Sittingbourne for one last pint and a shot at The Red Lion, before finally catching the train back to Ramsgate. 🚂 ☔️ It was an amazing day filled with great company, a wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food. Despite getting a bit damp from the rain, we had a fantastic time. 🌧️ Thank you all for an unforgettable day!
